How we work together

Here at Wise Steps we can work in various different ways, including face to face one hour sessions, pre-arranged telephone sessions or by using Skype. For housebound or bedbound clients a limited number of home visits may be offered, depending on the clients' symptoms, situation and location. Some clients use a blend of these options.

In terms of style, Caroline has the view that we all have the resources we need inside of us and sometimes need help from a third party to access and use them effectively. Session can be emotional in all sorts of ways with many clients laughing, crying and experiencing relief once they understand what’s happening and they find ways to influence their experiences.

A fundamental principle of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is to train the client to become their own therapist.
